A man observed a scout master at a campout. As the scouts began to set up the campsite, one of the scouts asked, "can you help me set up my tent?" The Scoutmaster said, "No, you need to learn how to do it yourself." The scout began to whimper and fuss and the Scoutmaster said quietly, "Now, Dave, we just have 3 days left, don't be upset, it won't be long now." The next day, they began thier hike and the scout began to complain that it was too hot and the trails were too steep. When the scout was told he had to keep hiking, he began to pout and cry. the Scoutmaster said quietly, "There, there Dave don't cry, only 2 more days and we'll be on our way home." On their third day when they went to the lake to go fishing, the scout immeditely demanded that the bait be put on the hook for him. When he noticed that no one would bait his hook, he began a terrible tantrum. The scoutmaster said serenely, "Dave we'll be done with this fishing in no time and we'll be on our way home, then you can take a nice nap." At the end of the trip, the man followed the Scoutmaster to his car to compliment him. The man said, "I couldn't help noticing how patient you were with little Dave and the other scouts." The scoutmaster replied. "Dave? No, I'm Dave. The scout's name is Garret."
